      Hello,

Here are some of my latest ku featured in Issue 46 of Otata, edited by John Martone:

      .
      .
      a hole
made by a long whistle —
      river mouth

      .
      .
      a waving troubadour —
      the waterfall at dusk

      .
      .
      saying out loud
      my Hungarian name
      — quinces

      .
      .

      Thank you for your time.

Indeed, a sympathetic ear is more and more a luxury.

I like both your ku . They invite me think about them further.

I particularly dig the first two. I read is/let regularly, and saw this poem of yours. It stayed with me.

Thank you, Lisa. And if a leaf that's completely fallen & detached can still stay w/ you, then I am doubly honoured.

;-) As a meditator I find it to be a very Zen poem. Thanks for writing it.

These 3 were published in the September, 2019 issue of Otata:

      shoulder to shoulder
      against the waves
      a protest of stones

      --------------

      wind-whipped her wild fragility forest

      --------------

      recovery room -
      from the fog
      your full moon face

haha, I like the surrealist humor on this one!

I feel hesitant to explain this - as the veneer of surrealism might actually make this piece. But some birds do sound like wee piggies. This was written while listening to Water Rails on Lammassaari on a hot June day that seems so long ago on these dark November days. My head was the only cloud in the sky. Nearly all descriptions of them note the 'pig like shrills' they make. They sounded especially piggy this summer. Anyway, I think they have quite a wide distribution, so maybe pig birds live near you?

I love the last one. Maybe “a needle,” an article there makes it sound smoother.
