Welcome! Alan is a great haiku poet and a friend to many here. I’m glad you’re getting a local group together, the community aspect of haiku is essential, in my view. hope the forum is a good resource for you and that you enjoy it!

    started a topic Hello

    Hello

    Hello forum
my name is Robert Kingston, I have been interested in Japanese genre poetry since being introduced to haiku by a school teacher in 2015.
Meeting some remarkable people on forums on FB and the haiku foundation has allowed me to understand and grow, enjoying success in publishing my poems in some of the popular journals.
A member of the British haiku society,, I have recently created a group in my home town to draw like minded people together.
If I was to pass on my most valued advice for learning about the genre, it would be that by Alan Summer in 2016. Read, read, read :-)

    Peace to all!
    Robert
